The family zone – more room for pushchairs.

SBB trains have introduced family zones in 2nd class on single-deck InterCity and InterCity tilting trains for a more comfortable experience for passengers with pushchairs

These zones provide space for pushchairs and families to relax knowing that a higher level of noise will be tolerated than in other parts of the train.

You and your children can play the exciting board games “Jungle Hunt” and “The Snake Game” at the game tables specially provided on board.

The family zone is always located in the driving trailer found at the very front or rear of the train or unit.

In InterCity tilting trains, carriage no. 7 (driving trailer) has plenty of room for your pushchair. The width of the door leading from the vestibule to the coach interior is 71 cm.

In Single-deck InterCity tilting trains, the driving trailer has plenty of room for your pushchair. The width of the door leading from the vestibule to the coach interior is 80 cm.

In Double-decker InterCity trains the upper deck of the driving trailer has plenty of room for your pushchair. The width of the door leading from the vestibule to the coach interior: 71 cm.

Space for pushchairs is available on all services of SBB
