Storycraft Summer Camps Into the Forrest

 

Adventures begin with a story and then the imagination takes over.  

Stroll along the forest path to discover enchanting woodland beings, mystical mushrooms, and perhaps even a fairy or two. 

But beware, keep an eye out for hidden dangers like the wicked witch or a cunning wolf lurking amidst the leaves!  Embark on an exciting journey inspired by fantastic tales like 

• `Hansel and Gretel` by Margaret Mayo, with beautiful illustrations from Helen Stephens
• `The Foggy Foggy Forest`by Nick Sharratt and
• the beautiful classic `Children of the Forest` by Elsa Beskow

After reading these tales together we will be inspired for enchanted discoveries in the forrest!

 

Camp Program

During the first three days, young adventurers will 

• Make some super projects including Papier Mache Animals,  
• Forest Theme Tote Bags
• A magic mushroom money box, with optional fairy!
• A furry animal Notebook
• A cute Fox Canvas and
• Colourful clay animals. 

Our days will be filled with 

• park outings, weather permitting, 
• games, and 
• dance parties in the studio.

 

Materials and Techniques

The young ones will have access to an array of artistic supplies, including various 

• paints
• clay
• stamps
• stencils
• recycled crafting materials, and 
• an abundance of delightful decorations, including embellishments and glitter!

There will always be time during the day for the children to enjoy the freedom to make their own art using the many materials on offer in the Storycraft Studio.

Additional information

• Art materials and snacks are included. 
• Please note that all three weeks of the season have the same Storycraft programme. 
• The first camp week will be led by Kortney and Mady, the second camp week will be led by Kortney,with another teacher if required.
• Camp times are 9am - 4pm
• All art materials, snacks and drinks will be provided
• Children are asked to bring a packed lunch.
• Projects run over at least 2 days to allow for drying time.
