Pumpkin season is here again, and this means it's another exciting year for pumpkin carving.

There are lots of activities going on around Zurich during Halloween and this weekend full of interesting events for both kids and parents.

While Switzerland is not really known for its Halloween celebration, which is very much an American tradition, Halloween can also be a great excuse to engage with kids and have some fun together. Visiting a farm, picking out a pumpkin, getting dirty by cleaning out the gooey seeds and carving shapes, always with the help of an adult, are experiences that kids will remember for a long time while building fine motor skills.

So start planning because the pumpkins are ready to go, and the kids are ready to go crazy with the carving knives.

Halloween Events 2023 in Zurich

Women’s Power Pumpkin Sculpture Exhibition in Jucker Farm.

Take a day to admire the annual pumpkin exchibition at Jucker Farm. Every year there is a different theme for the creation of giant pumpkin sculptures that are part of the scenery until the end of October. This year the theme is Women's Power.

At the farm you can also buy pumpkins for carving at home or while you are there!

Playgrounds and hay stacks offer hours of fun for the little ones, while you can also enjoy a meal or coffee from the farm shop.

Halloween Special at Kulturama. A Spooky Adventure for Kids on October 28th.

Get ready for an exciting and spooky Halloween at Kulturama!

Our Halloween Special promises a bone-chilling experience as we explore skeletons, encounter a real mummy, and get creative with a bone-themed craft. And that's not all – there will be refreshments to quench your thirst and a sweet surprise to satisfy your cravings.

But here's the twist – dressing up in costumes makes it twice as much fun!

With your ticket, you can explore the museum starting from 1:00 PM. Adult companions pay the regular admission fee, CHF 14.
This workshop is designed for children aged 7 to 12 years old.
Craft supplies will be provided.
Entry Fee is CHF 25 (including admission) for those in costume, CHF 20 for Kulturama Friends, and CHF 14 for accompanying adults.
The workshop will be from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM.
