Storycraft Spring Camps  with a Pirate Party

 

Adventures begin with a story and then the imagination takes over.  

Embark on an exciting journey inspired by captivating pirate tales like 

• "Knock Knock Pirate" by Caryl Hart, 
• "Pirate Stew" by Neil Gaiman, and 
• "Pirates Love Underpants" by Claire Freedman. 

 

After reading these tales together we will be inspired for swashbuckling adventures!

 

Camp Program

During the first three days, young buccaneers will 

• craft 
• paint and 
• create their very own pirate costume, including hats, shirts, cutlasses, and hooks.

As the week unfolds, we'll delve into the world of 

• treasure hunting by creating treasure maps 
• crafting treasure chests and 
• painting vibrant parrot canvases.

 

For the shiny treasure get ready to sparkle and shine as we celebrate with jewels, gems, and plenty of glitter! 

Our days will be filled with 

• park outings, weather permitting, 
• games, and 
• dance parties in the studio.

 

Materials and Techniques

Children will explore various art mediums, including

• paints 
• clay
• stamps
• stencils, and 
• recycled materials, allowing them to unleash their creativity in our Storycraft Studio. 

 

There will always be time during the day for the children to enjoy the freedom to make their own art using the many materials on offer in the Storycraft Studio.

Additional information

• Art materials and snacks are included. 
• Please note both weeks of the season have the same Storycraft programme. 
• The first camp week will be led by Kortney and Mady, the second camp week will be led by Kortney,with another teacher if required.
• Camp times are 9am - 4pm
• All art materials, snacks and drinks will be provided
• Children are asked to bring a packed lunch.
• Projects run over at least 2 days to allow for drying time.
